Whether we are single, dating, engaged or married, as believers and born-again Christians our personal happiness and ability to enjoy a mentally, spiritually and emotionally satisfying life should never truly depend on the presence, absence or actions of a spouse.  And while we all long for the type of companionship that is produced when we encounter and commit to a relationship with someone who is as dedicated to a life in Christ as we are, positive results in our personal lives can only be achieved and sustained if we (1) identify whatever purpose God has preordained for our life; (2) organize our lives and personal relationships in a way that will enable us to fulfill that purpose; (3) pursue a life of holiness; and (4) rely on scriptural principles to govern our views and choices as they relate to our personal lives.  In addition, we believe that the enduring love, romance, trust, faithfulness, communication, stability and happiness that Christians seek are merely by-products of diligently and consistently applying God's principles and putting Him first in every area of our lives. 

Our relationship with God and Christ are works-in-progress that we must focus on to constantly refine, and we believe our personal relationships are works-in-progress as well.  And with this in mind, it is our opinion that the majority of the challenges Christian singles and couples face in their personal lives will not be resolved in a single session or phone call, but rather through a lifetime commitment to evaluating ourselves, others, our personal choices, and through a willingness to change when appropriate.  So, while we cannot and will not promise our clients that they will find instant happiness, have the perfect love life or always achieve the outcome they THINK they desire, we do assure them that if they comprehend and apply the principles we will share, they will mature as Christians and enjoy more healthy and satisfying personal lives. 

Based of these views, CRC's approach to coaching individuals who are single, dating, engaged or married can be summarized as follows:

• Familiarizing our clients with scriptural principles as they specifically relate to relationships.
  
• Educating our clients about the correct application of scriptural principles as they relate to personal relationships.
  
• Teaching our clients how to identify individuals, relationships, views, values and choices that conflict with scriptural principles.
  
• Preparing our clients for the consequences that accompany applying or failing to apply scriptural principles in their personal lives.
  
• Helping our clients master the scriptural principles and their correct application in an effort to help them become more mature Christians and equip them to educate others.
